Good-Bye!

Dear Zoe,

This is Stanley's last day here in Halifax.  He had a great time. While he was here, he made friends with Yan-Pea, the yarn peanut.  :-)

Stanley's ready to take off for Virginia. Bon voyage!

By the way, my Flat Stanley will be visiting you soon.  Watch out for him!

Love,
Julia

Banana Cupcakes!

Dear Zoe,

Today stanley saw my cupcake maker so he said, "Can I make some?" So, I showed him all the steps

Step 1: Get some bananas and mash them.

Step 2: Put in one cup of milk.
Step 3: Add 2 big eggs.

Step 4: Add about one and a half cups of flour.

Step 5: Mix in chocolate chips. (My favourite part!)

Step 6: Put your batter into cupcake maker or oven.

Step 7: Bake for about 15 minutes.

...and enjoy your great tasting cupcakes!

Yummy and fun!  Want some?  :-)

Love,
Julia

Rainbow Looms!

Dear Zoe,

Today, Stanley saw my box of rainbow looms.  He said, "Can you teach me how to make one?"  So....

He looked at my list and said, "Can I learn how to make a single please?"

We made a single together and Stanley will bring it back with him as a souvenir.

And, he's done!

I will try to write again but it looks like Stanley's vacation is almost over.

Love,
Julia

Ice Skating With Stanley!

Dear Zoe,

Every week I go ice skating.  This is me with my friends.  They go skating too!  Stanley wanted to see where I skate.

Here's Stanley watching the skaters do there thing.  I'm not there yet because I am just a beginner.

...and here's Stanley watching a zamboni.  Do you know what it is?  The zamboni cleans the ice so that it is nice and fresh.

That's me on the rink during the free skate. I made a little pit stop to bring Stanley onto the ice.

I will write again.

Love,
Julia

In My Classroom

Dear Zoe,

I took Flat Stanley to school.  Here is the back entrance of my school.  I use it often because it is closer to my classroom.

Inside the classroom, he reviewed my spelling words with me.  He was very good at reading.

Stanley also made friends with Mr. Bones.  At first he was scared...  But don't worry Stanley!  He's really nice!

He met his long lost brother and he shared some of his lollipops.  The other Stanley is getting ready for a trip to Atherton, California.  No snow there!

Fun with our lego blocks!

We also tried sitting on my teacher, Mr. Kane's chair.  I'm sure he won't mind.  He is very kind.

Stanley also checked my locker.

It's a mess in there!

I will write again.

Love,
Julia

Flat Stanley Visits Our Shop

Dear Zoe,

Flat Stanley arrived in Halifax safe and sound last week.

Today, Flat Stanley went to my Mom and Dad's shop.  He saw lots of things like cute little dolls, erasers, incense and little chocolates.
My Mom makes a lot of things by hand. She made the cute cats, earrings and pouches and other cool stuff.

Stanley also made tea for us.  :-)  Ha! Ha!  Just kidding.

He also played around with the pottery but was careful not to break anything.

I will write again.

Love,
Julia
